For 13 days the US and Iran traded blows, each side claiming to be retaliating for what the other side had done. At some point, the blame game becomes blurry, as the public forgets who started it, and this forgetfulness makes it easy to use propaganda to give the impression that the other side started the war.
However, we must keep in mind that this current war started on February 28, 2026 when the US-Israeli axis struck Iran with full force. It was not the Iranians who unleashed this war. Of course, one could trace the situation back to previous incidents, ultimately going back to 1953 when the newly-formed CIA overthrew Iran’s president and installed the Shah of Iran. Since that time, the CIA has been in the business of interfering in elections worldwide, and when they fail to get a US-backed candidate elected, they often resort to coups and even assassinations.
Of course, America claims the right to do such things, while becoming indignant or outraged if other countries do this to us. We are, after all, “special” and “indispensable.”
When Iranians finally overthrew the Shah in 1979, America blamed Iran for starting the war. That was 47 years ago.
After the 13-day tit-for-tat strikes, US forces began to run dangerously low on missiles and interceptors, so Trump was advised to pause the war. Last Saturday, on July 25, 2026, Trump issued the "gates of hell" threat to Iran, saying the U.S. would respond overwhelmingly if Iran continued attacks through its proxies or directly threatened American forces.
U.S. then temporarily paused major strikes from July 26-28. But Iran had had enough of such pauses that only allowed US forces to rebuild its missile supplies. Iran launched ballistic missiles at U.S. forces in Jordan. Trump said in a news interview that the military base only had a few minutes’ warning before the missiles struck it—a significant admission. That is because Iran has taken out the US radar system in the entire region, leaving US forces virtually blind. Normally, they would have seen missiles as soon as they were launched, giving them some hours to prepare to launch interceptors.
Trump was outraged at this “sneak attack.” The Rules-based Order permits only the US and the Zionist state to conduct “sneak attacks,” while other nations are not permitted this right. The rules-based Order has, in recent years, replaced the Rule of Law. Trump and Hegseth have openly stated that they are no longer bound by International Laws that were established in the wake of World War 2 to define war crimes.
These are all in the category of the laws of men, or traditions of men, but nonetheless, the biblical law of equal weights and measures still apply. Jesus referenced it in Matthew 7:2. The way we judge Iran is the same measure by which God will judge America. Double standards are forbidden, even if “patriotism” dictates favoritism.
As prospective overcomers who are called to “judge the world” (1 Corinthians 6:2), we are currently in training to set aside personal biases and self-interest in order to bring justice in international disputes. The United Nations was originally set up to address this issue, but its New World Order has now crumbled and, like the Old Covenant, “is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear” (Hebrews 8:13).
Hence, the overcomers must be ready to fill their roles in the age to come. It is important, then, that they study to show themselves approved unto God. It is imperative not only to study the law itself but to know how the forms and applications of the law have changed through the New Covenant.
It is also important to see the contrast between the Zionist views of the law, which are based in self-interest and views non-Jews as having inferior souls on the level of animals (“cattle”). That view justifies all mistreatment, unequal justice, and even genocide. That view is not what Jesus taught. Overcomers are required to agree with Jesus’ view of non-Jews and Israelites in general.
I believe we are entering into the Age to come, and the wars and injustice in the world is reaching a peak just before the collapse of the old order. It is God’s job to collapse this order; our focus is more positive. We are preparing and training for the golden age of peace and justice that lies ahead. It is for this reason that prospective overcomers must be rooted in New Covenant ideals—otherwise, the age to come would simply replace old tyrants with new ones.
It is also important to know that “Mystery Babylon” is a secret, hidden government that rules the world through occult practices which they call “wizardry.” This pervades not only the political realms but also the financial (banking) system. It is difficult to reach top management without submitting to some form of witchcraft or Satanism, even including human sacrifice.
Through the spiritual power of the occult, they maintain power over the nations. As overcomers, we are called to break that power through the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, most believers are either unequipped to deal with such occult power or are unaware of the origin of Babylonian power. Being filled with the Spirit does not necessarily translate into revelation knowledge into the power centers of Mystery Babylon.
But we are now reaching the point in history where God is revealing such things and, at the same time, has been training His people to deal with it. Romans 16:20 says, “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.” As part of the body of Christ, under whose feet the creation will be placed, His feet represent us. Hence, Satan will be crushed under OUR feet and through this, also under the feet of Christ.
But not all believers are equipped for this work. It requires more than justification faith. It requires enduring to the end.
