“On March 5th, twenty evangelical pastors surrounded Donald Trump in the Oval Office and prayed for victory in Iran. The White House released the video. That same day, I posted about a girls' school in southern Iran where 165 children were killed in a strike. The BBC confronted Pete Hegseth with his own strike map showing the school's location at its center. That same day, Senator Lindsey Graham called this a religious war and said we will determine the course of the Middle East for a thousand years.
“Hegseth has been hosting monthly Christian prayer meetings at the Pentagon. Over 200 military complaints have been filed about commanders using religious language to describe the operation to troops. This military operation has no congressional authorization, no end date, and costs one billion dollars per day. Seven American service members have been killed. Americans cannot afford healthcare or groceries. And the White House is releasing prayer videos while families pull their children from rubble.
“I am a Christian. I pray every day. What I saw in that Oval Office video was not prayer. It was a photo opportunity designed to give spiritual cover to a military operation that senior officials are now openly calling a religious war.
“Think for yourself. Question what you are shown.”
My View
I have written previously that the Israeli state is the covert manifestation of Edom, not Israel. Edom was conquered and incorporated into Judea in 126 B.C. The entire nation of Edom (or Idumea) converted to Judaism and became Jews. This made Jewry responsible to fulfill two sets of prophecies—one for Judah, another for Edom. (Esau is Edom.) Judah fulfilled its responsibility by producing the Messiah-King (Genesis 49:10) in Christ’s first advent. Edom is now manifesting in the form of Zionism, as prophesied in Malachi 1:1-4. Here are more details:

In 1948 the church gave up its claim to rule the Kingdom by backing the Edomite claim to the birthright. This is the basic teaching of Christian Zionism, whether they know it or not. By failing to understand the history and biblical prophecies of Edom, the church has backed non-believers, giving them the keys to the kingdom.
In the divine plan, because Jacob stole the birthright from Esau in an unlawful manner (Genesis 27), Isaac promised Esau that he would some day break off Jacob’s yoke (Genesis 27:40 KJV). Jacob would have to give back the birthright in order to give Esau time to prove himself unworthy of it. Otherwise, Esau was protected by the law of the hated son (Deuteronomy 21:15-17). This is why God stated in Malachi 1:3 that Esau was “hated.” It protected his rights as the firstborn son of Isaac.
So the birthright was given back to Esau on November 29, 1947 by the UN Resolution 181. Esau was then given 76 years (I believe) to disqualify himself in order to satisfy the divine law. This time ended toward the end of 2023, when the war with Hamas broke out. Up to then, God had protected Esau and had even fought for them in order to honor the law of the hated son. But October 7, 2023 marked the point where God’s hand of protection began to be removed.
The church, meanwhile—Christian Zionists in particular—sided with Esau in his claim to the birthright. Christian Zionists have betrayed Christ, even as Judas did, by aiding and abetting those who hate Him. The war prayer for Trump on March 5, 2026 was a major event in prophetic history. The church has disqualified itself to receive the birthright at the second coming of Christ. Hence, the first resurrection is limited to the overcomers only, and the church as a whole will have to wait for another thousand years at the great White Throne judgment to receive “life” (John 5:28, 29). Jesus said that their reward will be given to them at the same time that the unbelievers are judged. The reward will be different, but the timing is the same.

There is still some time for the church to repent of its support of war and killing. Its current religious war is avowedly to support Zionism, thinking that they are doing God’s will. But this is a case of mistaken identity. Just as Jacob stole Esau’s identity to trick his blind father into giving him the blessing, so also God’s judgment is the same but in reverse. Esau has tricked the blind church by pretending to be Jacob. It is the “eye for eye” law in Exodus 21:24. Yet because the church has failed to study the laws of God, their eyes have been blinded to the real prophecy that is happening in front of them.
This present conflict will not end until Jerusalem is completely destroyed according to the prophecy in Jeremiah 19:10, 11. Meanwhile, Christian Zionists mistakenly apply Jeremiah 18:1-10 to the state which men call Israel. But Israel and Judah were two separate nations. Jeremiah 18:1-10 was directed at the 10 tribes of the northern house of Israel, who were exiled to Assyria and who never returned. They were pictured as a jar of wet clay that was pliable.
Jeremiah 18:11 through chapter 19 is focused on the house of Judah (or “Jews”), and they are pictured as a jar made of hardened clay. It represented Jerusalem and Judah as a whole, and it was smashed so completely that it could never be repaired again. Jerusalem was destroyed many times over the centuries, but it was always repaired. It exists even today. Hence, the final prophecy of Jeremiah remains unfulfilled, and I believe that it will be fulfilled shortly in the present conflict with Iran.
