With the Tabernacles conference coming in a few days, we are making last-minute preparations, so I do not plan to engage in any in-depth discussions this week.
The world continues to spiral out of (man’s) control. Those who have no faith in God or in His ability to control events are left without much hope of the earth’s very survival. These are times that try men’s faith, as they say. More accurately, these are times that separate those with faith from those without. And even Christians themselves are being tried. Those who think that God helplessly wrings His hands hoping mankind will make the right decisions will derive very little comfort from their so-called faith.
You, however, are not among such people, if you believe in the sovereignty of God and know His plan for the earth and for the nations as a whole. The age to come is not described in Isaiah 2:1-3 in terms of spending a thousand years underground to hide from nuclear fallout or from some post-apocalyptic time of anarchy. It tells us that we will have a big job of teaching the nations (i.e., their representatives) about the laws of God and how to govern with justice and liberty for all.
Even so, there is great danger in the Mideast as the Zionists attempt to fulfill Bible prophecy in a violent manner based on their self-serving views of Old Covenant. A prominent Zionist leader has come out openly, telling everyone that they intend to take over Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and even Saudi Arabia and Egypt. This is the concept of “Greater Israel.”
Keep in mind that the Israeli government has never defined its borders, because it has no intention of staying within any boundaries. Ultimately, they hope to take over the whole earth. Their plans will fail, of course, because they are following the plan of Edom, not true Israel. Edom was conquered and absorbed into Judea in 126 B.C., so the Jews today have more than one set of prophecies to fulfill.
Scripture tells us clearly the fate of Edom as well as the fate of Jerusalem, as I have often shown. We are fast approaching that “day of the Lord.” I pray that many Israelis will escape before this disaster occurs. A million of them have already left the country, perhaps a tenth of the population.
Next week we will arrive at the end of the current Prophetic Year on the 8th day of Tabernacles. So we are reaching some sort of climax for the year. Nearly the entire year has been marked by the current conflict, first in Gaza, then in the West Bank, and now in Lebanon. The ethnic cleansing has been ongoing since the trigger point on October 7, 2023.
There are UNIFIL peace keeping forces in Lebanon, who are there to keep the two sides apart. The Israelis are now threatening them, first by shooting some of them and second by issuing outright threats against them. May I remind you that fighting against UN peacekeeping forces is a recognized war crime.
Here is a half-hour video from an ex-CIA analyst commenting on the current crisis.
