Last week the Israelis launched a large-scale missile attack on Iranian targets, sending 100 jet fighter planes, each armed with two missiles. The missiles were launched from Iraqi territory. Most of the missiles were shot down, but it appears that Israel managed to destroy an older anti-missile facility. Nonetheless, Iran had been given S-400’s, which proved to be very effective.
The idea was to knock out most of Iran’s anti-aircraft facilities in the first wave, and then follow up with an actual attack on nuclear sites and other targets. However, the second and third waves were called off because of the failure of the first wave to achieve its goals.
Both sides, of course, declared victory, but the fact that the Israelis did not follow through with their second wave attack speaks for itself. The Iranians are not vowing revenge but are going about their business as usual. It is not clear if they will launch a retaliatory strike or not, but if so, it is not likely to be much of a response.
As for the Israelis, they say that this tit for tat will end now if the Iranians do nothing. In fact, Iran has already proven that its hypersonic missiles cannot be shot down by Israeli defenses. Their iron dome has proven to be a paper dome on October 1st in the last Iranian strike. So perhaps the Israelis are afraid of provoking Iran too much.
As we watch this situation with Bible prophecy in mind, it is quite possible that this war will not escalate too quickly. The Israelis have to try to figure out how to overcome Iran’s hypersonic missiles as well as their S-400 anti-aircraft defenses. Even 100 fighter jets were insufficient in this latest salvo, and none of them dared to cross into Iran itself.
Our next big watch date is November 29, the anniversary of UN Resolution 181 in 1947 which divided the land into two states. This is what created the problem in the first place, leading to the establishment of the Zionist/Edomite state on May 14, 1948. Esau has now been given his due, as Isaac promised him, and he has proven himself to be a violent, bloodthirsty, carnal man who is unworthy of the birthright.
Esau-Edom is now non-compliant with the mandate that he was given in 1947-1948. When God grants nations or empires a certain amount of time, they never comply with the divine court’s limit of time that they are allowed to rule. Once they are non-compliant, God often gives them a small grace period so that none of them can claim that they just forgot.
I note also that this final countdown began on October 7, 2023, when the great prison break occurred in Gaza. This marked the start of the genocidal war that has shown the world the true nature of Edom. Note that 414 days later is November 24, which is not far from November 29 and is actually within the broader timeline of November 21-29. So perhaps we ought to extend our watch date to November 21-29 in regard to the overthrow of Edom.
Meanwhile, we will continue to monitor the escalation events.
