View Full Tract ListWe held a successful conference this past weekend here in Minneapolis with about 120 people in attendance. Because we do not require registration or collect registration fees, it is difficult to know precisely how many people came to the conference. But we did count heads at one of the meetings, so we could get an estimate.
Mark Eaton and I carried the bulk of the teaching, along with two health sessions. The first was where Dr. Chad Harrison spoke about various health matters, and the second was a round table discussion about healing in the body, soul, and spirit. All of these teachings, of course, were livestreamed to an international audience far greater than what was present at the meeting room. We are now working on posting the videos on YouTube and on our website.
Our meetings are also great opportunities to make new friends, deepen friendships with old friends, and often to meet people who live nearby that were not known at all. I noticed that we had quite a few people attend from Arizona, and some of them did not know each other previously. This gave them the opportunity to meet more regularly with others in a home study group. We do like to see that kind of networking.
As for me, I was able to navigate quickly to the podium and back with the help of a wheelchair. I am continuing to gain strength in my legs and hoped that I would be able to walk normally by the time of the conference, but I am not quite to that place yet. It will probably take another month or two to be able to walk confidently without a walker. Right now, my legs have the strength to stand and to walk, but I am still a bit wobbly.
I thank God and all of you too who helped pay the conference expenses. We received enough to pay all expenses without going into debt. The hotel, of course, required a credit card to pay for the rooms of the speakers and our staff, but we received enough donations to pay off the card when it comes due at the beginning of November. Thank-you once again!
We will be considering a Passover conference next April as well. I do not know any details yet, but we will be praying about this in the weeks ahead.
