We awoke this morning to the news that the Israelis had launched a missile strike against Iran in retaliation for Iran’s retaliatory strike against Israel. The Iranian government had considered their own strike to be sufficient to avenge Israel’s attack on its Consulate in Damascus and to lay this matter to rest. But the Israelis, stung by the appearance that they had lost its deterrence, felt that they had to respond again—as if Iran had started this conflict.
Nonetheless, it appears that no one was killed in Iran, and the Iranians were downplaying the effectiveness of the attack. That is a good sign, because it indicates that Iran will not retaliate, and perhaps this conflict can settle down again. It is a good sign when both sides claim victory. Here is a short analysis of the news:

My concern is in the fact that Netanyahu’s intent is to draw the US into a wider war with Iran. If this recent conflict dies down, that will make him unhappy, and he will continue to look for another way to start a war with Iran. And if all else fails, it is too easy to plan a false flag event. The problem with a false flag event is that it allows countries to react before an investigation can reveal the truth.
Iran is Persia. Persia took down Babylon and then allowed all deported people to return to their homeland. This included the people of Judah and Benjamin, and so a remnant of them took advantage of this. The Israelis today do not see it in the same way. They are in the business of taking vengeance on all the beast nations that held them captive in ancient times. First it was Babylon (Iraq); now it is Persia.
Today we are seeing the second round of prophecy. It seems that Persia has a role to play once again in the takedown of Mystery Babylon. This comes in the context of the kings from the east (Revelation 16:12). In ancient times, these kings were Cyrus the Persian and Darius the Mede. Today they are Russia and China, who, in Ukraine, are overthrowing the West and NATO. But Iran-Persia seems to be focused more narrowly on the Zionist state.
Last October, in the wake of the October 7 attack by Hamas, I perceived that this conflict was the beginning of the countdown toward the destruction of Jerusalem (Jeremiah 19:10, 11). Because we had entered the 76th year since the Palestinian Resolution in 1947, I discerned that Esau-Edom’s time was coming to an end and that the time allotted to him to prove himself worthy or unworthy of the birthright was drawing to a close.
Two dates in particular stood out. November 29, 1947 (Palestinian Resolution) and May 14, 1948 (Israel’s independence day). 76 years later gives us two dates to work with, the latter coming up on May 14, 2024. From past observation of these things, I believe that Esau-Edom has until May 14 to prove whether it is worthy or unworthy. Remember that Edom was conquered and absorbed into Jewry in 126 B.C. and is now fulfilling the prophecies in Scripture about Edom and its Zionism.
This tells me that Jerusalem will not be destroyed prior to May 14, yet I think this event will still probably occur by the end of this year. If they succeed in sacrificing a red heifer at Passover, this would be a huge marker pointing to Jerusalem’s soon-coming destruction.
It is also possible that Ukraine will collapse about the same time that Jerusalem is destroyed. Perhaps God intends for these two events to happen about the same time, representing both aspects of the overthrow of Mystery Babylon. If so, I would anticipate that these events should probably not occur before the end of this year.
This is, of course, a long-range projection, not a word from the Lord. Nonetheless, I will be watching to see how things develop in the world and will adjust my view accordingly.
Meanwhile, other world-altering events are scheduled for the near future—between Passover and Pentecost in particular. These events will shock the world, because they will begin to see the Kingdom of God rising from the dead. Watch the British monarchy. King Charles is nearing the end of his life (as with Kate Middleton). There will be turmoil and unexpected consequences when Charles dies. This is why I have posted news items about the monarchy in recent months. It is to draw your attention to coming events.
Many have some awareness of the many sins of King Charles. Some have gone so far a to label him the antichrist. That view is debunked now that he is on his deathbed. Yet when men face death in the face, it often triggers unexpected things. Charles is doing what he can to make amends for past sins. God has moved upon his heart to help establish the Kingdom of God.
I cannot give any details here, but what he has done will probably become visible only after his death.
