Many of you have heard that in order to be truly successful in the music industry one must sell one’s soul to the devil. Such artists do not try to hide this, because most of their fans do not care.

The same is true in other industries as well, including banking and government.
Many governments in the world—including western governments—retain power through the power of the occult. So when we read descriptions of Mystery Babylon, we find references to the occult as well. Revelation 18:2 says that this “city” is “the habitation of demons.” God then speaks to Babylon directly, bringing judgment upon her, “because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery” (Revelation 18:23).
Mystery Babylon is the final form of the “beast” empires prophesied in Daniel 2 and 7. But we cannot understand any of them apart from their spiritual roots by which they maintain power. When Daniel found himself in spiritual warfare, the angel conveyed to him the nature of the prince of Persia and the prince of Greece (Daniel 10:20). These were the spiritual forces behind the second and third beast empires.
By this we may extrapolate that there was also a prince of Rome and another that was the prince of the little horn that was the religious extension of Rome.
In our ministry we have engaged in many prayer battles since being established in 1993. Each has been a subset of the same overall battle that Daniel was fighting in his day. Because this battle is fought in the heavens, in the spiritual timeless realm, all who engage in genuine spiritual warfare are participants in the same battle and fight alongside Daniel. The only real difference is that we each find ourselves in a different part of the battlefield. So the specific issues and prayer concerns differ accordingly.
We have not held any formal prayer campaigns for some years now. Most of our campaigns took place in the 1990’s, a few in the 2000’s. In the end, all of them were actually court battles, rather than being pictured on a field of battle per se. We learned to follow God’s instructions and to make our appeals to the divine court according to His will (and His law). Our main concern in court was to be found on the right side of the law, because then it did not matter how many opponents we had. Our Judge will “not follow the masses in doing evil” (Exodus 23:2). In other words, His judgment is not influenced by the opinions and demands of a multitude.
Once we have heard the Judge’s verdict, we then are given the responsibility of proclaiming His word in the earth, thus bringing heaven to earth. We function as God’s double witness in order to establish all things, as the law reveals. This is based on the same principle as claiming the promises of God. The warfare will soon reach a tipping point where we will see the actual fall of Babylon and its replacement with the Kingdom of God.
