Sixty years ago today, President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, TX, and on the same day the great Christian philosopher, C. S. Lewis, died in the UK. We remember.
In 2023 our Kingdom building mission is progressing well. Our outreach in Nepal is growing steadily. Pastor Sanjeev is currently in Sri Lanka, where he is teaching the restoration message at a church there.
In Pakistan, Pastor Fiaz continues to teach the word to many churches who have invited him. Today he, along with other speakers, is teaching at another conference, where the theme is The Overcomers.
The idea that there is a distinction between the church and the overcomers is new in Pakistan. He tells me that he gets many comments about the depth of teaching that he presents. Likewise, many cannot figure out how and why it is so different. Until recently, many of these deeper truths had never been taught in the Pakistani churches.
On November 11, 2023 Pastor Fiaz wrote and sent a few pictures:
“Thank God our books are spreading all over Pakistan.”
Last week, he emailed me, saying:
“By God's grace we were invited to the village Damoke. There more than hundred people joined the program. I preached there on “How to be an Overcomer.” By the grace of God, the Word of God touched the hearts of the people, they were greatly affected by this word. There we also distributed our books and finally sixteen people received the Word of God. We thank God for this successful program. Please remember us in your prayers.”
All 16 students were presented with a Bible imprinted with our name. Understand that many of the people cannot afford to buy a Bible, so we have printed up a special edition for them with our name on them. Of course, we also hand out free copies of our other books that Fiaz has translated into Urdu. Our investment in the people has made a huge impact on the churches in Pakistan.
In the picture below, another pastor presents the book, How to be an Overcomer.
Pastor Fiaz hopes to finish translating The Laws of the Second Comingbefore the end of December. He is now working on chapter 9. When I talked to him yesterday, he commented once again how he was learning something new from every paragraph in the book. The benefit of translation work is that the translator has to ponder every word. When this book is distributed, it will mark a major milestone among the Pakistani churches, because so few of the people have been taught about the feast days and their relationship to the two comings of Christ. Most of the believers only know the rapture theory, which was developed without any real knowledge of the feast of the Tabernacles.
This book, I believe, will change the face of the church in Pakistan. It will be a very large book, because it takes much more space to write with Urdu letters. Fiaz said the book will be more than 2,000 pages long. So this will be a major textbook throughout Pakistan. My original thought was to break it up into two volumes, but Fiaz prefers to leave it as one volume in order to save on the cost of printing.
Thanks once again to all of you who support our ministry. You make it possible for us to change an entire nation.
