We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreFrom August 17-29 and then to September 3 is a season to be watchful. We expect to see now the results of Ye Shall Go Forth prayer campaign that was conducted during this time in 1984.
Back then, the time from August 17-29 was the first phase of the campaign, called Operation Elijah (now Elisha). After this phase ended, I was given my vision of the brilliant light over South Africa. We then entered the “international phase” of the prayer campaign until Sept. 3.
Recall from 1 Kings 19:2, 3, 4 that after Elijah’s victory at Mount Carmel, Jezebel vowed to kill him.
2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So may the gods do to me and even more, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” 3 And he was afraid and arose and ran for his life and came to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. 4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree; and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take my life, for I am not better than my fathers.”
It was nice of Jezebel to let Elijah know that he was under threat. It allowed him to flee for his life. But strangely enough, after some days of travel, heading down to Mount Horeb (where Moses had received the Ten Commandments), he wanted to die after all. God spared him, of course, and sustained him on his journey, but this marked the effective end of his ministry. It marked the point where Elijah’s ministry would give way to that of Elisha.
We ourselves—John in particular—find ourselves under death threats after our victory on Monday. Following the pattern of Jezebel, they have been nice enough to send a notice. But this time, we carry the double anointing given to Elisha. John has no fear of Jezebel, nor does he fear Herodias who had John the Baptist beheaded.
We know that our entire team is under divine protection. This has been tested and proven more than once in the past few years. Recall that last October, an assassin fired his pistol at Bradley twice at point blank range—and missed! I related the story here:

Nonetheless, we ask for your continued prayers for protection and strength, that no one would allow fear to motivate any of the team members. The tree is only beginning to poke its head above ground, and in that sense it is still in a vulnerable stage.
Meanwhile, the palace coup was finally reported in the mainstream news in South Africa today. We learned about it two days ago, as I reported, but then, we have inside sources.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
