We have taken the five ministry gifts (Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Prophets, and Apostles) as an outline for the courses of Bible study in this School.
Our purpose is to equip those who are ministering with a knowledge of the Word, so that each will be more effective in fulfilling his or her calling.
Learn MoreAn interesting thing happened today in South Africa.
Back on March 3rd of this year, I wrote a weblog entitled “Watch Dates,” where I summarized various watch dates for the rest of this year, based on previous patterns.
https://godskingdom.org/blog/2022/03/watch-dates
A few days later, I sent a modified version of this to John in South Africa, adding a few more of the minor dates to watch. He printed it out, and his wife Anne refers to it often so that she can pray further about these dates. Needless to say, the 2-page report is getting well worn now.
This morning, when Anne checked the printed report, she discovered a new word printed on the second page in large print (about 35 point size, John says), using a different typeface than what I had used. It was just one word:
izigele
Neither Anne nor John had ever heard of such a word, so they asked a Zulu team member. He had not heard of it either, but he had an elderly relative (uncle?) who is an expert in language. He said that it was a very old Zulu word that very few Zulus today would recognize. It means “senate.” I looked it up as well and found it here:

Most countries do not have a senate. America does, along with a few other countries whose governments were modeled after ours (such as the Philippines). The Roman Empire had a senate. Other nations had a similar body of governing officials, but most of them were merely advisors to the king, not legislators as such.
So we are pondering the meaning of this word/revelation. At this point, we do not really know what it means. Does it relate to God’s Universal Empire, in contrast to the Roman Empire? Does it have to do with the senate of a particular country that we are to watch—such as America’s senate?
We have many questions. Why use an old Zulu word that has long been forgotten? How might this apply to South Africa?
Also, whenever God has written messages to them in the past (they now have a large notebook full of them), the medium on which the message is written has always been part of the revelation. Of all the sheets of paper in the house, why was izigele written on my watch dates report?
God loves to supply us with riddles in order to make us think and discern. He does not always speak plainly, as that would be too easy. He is always teaching and training us, pushing us to develop our spiritual discernment to a greater degree.
So I am sharing this with you as well.
Dr. Stephen Jones has been writing blog posts since 2005 on a variety of topics from Bible Studies to World News, and he has been writing books since 1992. Dr. Jones' most important writings came after God brought him back into the full-time ministry in 1991. It is here that all his earlier years of searching the Scriptures began to come into clear focus. He combines a knowledge of the Old and New Testaments with a personal revelation of God that began and developed during the "wilderness" period of his life, which he often refers to as God's True Bible College...
