The work of the house of Joseph, part 19

On December 26, 2004 a 9.0 Richter earthquake struck the Indian Ocean just off the coast of Indonesia. It caused a tsunami that devastated the coasts from Sumatra to Africa. This event occurred 1,260 days after the end of our prayer battle July 15, 2001.

Toward the end of the blog above, I said that the final binding of Apollyon occurred on July 14, 2001. I was mistaken. In checking my notes, this actually occurred July 15. So I made the correction now. The paragraph should read:

“By the night of July 12, this final world battle had been won. A little work was left for the next few days. Apollyon was the last to be bound on July 15, and the next day God installed the Archangels over the earth’s continents.”

The fact that the tsunami took place precisely 1,260 days after the end of this battle links the two events by a well-known biblical time cycle. Daniel 12:7 refers to it as “a time, times, and half a time.” A time is 360 days/years. Revelation 12:6 speaks of 1,260 days, and Revelation 11:2 and 13:5 refer to it as 42 months (42 x 30 is 1,260).

This number is always associated with some sort of delay, during which time God’s people are abused and overpowered. Revelation 12:6 sees the woman fleeing into the wilderness for 1,260 days to be protected until the people of God finally overcome the red dragon. The next verse, Revelation 12:7-9 tells us that Michael cast down the Red Dragon (from heaven to earth), and this is the reason why the woman had to flee into the wilderness. The victory itself brought about this dangerous situation.

We tend to assume that when we win a heavenly battle, all our troubles are behind us. However, this is not necessarily the case. God still seems to require His people to overcome the enemy on an earthly plane as well.

In Revelation 13:5, the beast from the sea is given 42 months in which to make war on the saints. It is the same little horn described in Daniel 7:21, 22. In each case, the period of 1,260 years appears to be a difficult time for the people of God on earth before the final victory is seen.

At any rate, the devastating “Christmas” tsunami occurred on December 26, 2004, which was 1,260 days after the last spiritual prince was bound on July 15, 2001.

Chad Taylor’s Prophecy

Three days before the tsunami, Chad Taylor posted a prophecy on December 23, 2004 entitled, Apocalyptic Anomalies and End-Time Paradigms. The article posted a number of prophecies, but the third one is of interest to us:

The Beast of the East Will Fall at Your Feet

I saw a dragon falling from the sky and into the eastern ocean. The blood of this ocean turned red like blood. A triune counsel of wickedness is being broken. Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. This unholy trinity will no longer possess its authority. For in these days many have said “God would not judge them” but I say I have already judged them and I will now set their captives free. You will see groundbreaking reform in the next five years in these places to the extent that Christianity will prevail. The dragon of Islam will be pushed out as a flood of My servants enter these borders and establish My kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. I will place my representatives into positions of rulership and authority creating a spiritual paradigm thus manifesting a harvest unparalleled in modern history. Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan you are in the palm of My hand says the Lord. Islam is a dying dragon wounded by the prayers of the saints and from her bowels billions will be saved.

Well, this got my attention. “The dragon of Islam” is called “The Prince of the kingdom of Persia” (Daniel 10:13). In the New Testament we are given a more personal name, rather than a mere title. In Greek it is Apollyon; in Hebrew it is Abaddon (Revelation 9:11). It means “destroyer,” so it is not surprising that in his “fall” from heaven, he would seek to destroy as many as possible.

Chad said that the result of his fall will be: “billions will be saved.” Apollyon knew that, and so he destroyed as many as possible while on his way down.

On December 29, 2004 CNN posted an article showing how parts of the ocean turned red in the aftermath of the Christmas tsunami. The article stated:

My story may be of interest in relation to the Asia quake. My name is Sayyeda Valli. I am 17 years old, and I'm a student at Jaffery Academy in Mombasa, Kenya. I want to narrate what happened today.

We went to celebrate Boxing Day in Malindi Marine National Park. My family hired a glass boat and 24 of us set sail. When we reached the deep waters, we took a dip and swam with the fish. Later on we went further on to the sand banks because some of us wanted to swim in the shallow waters. The drama started then.

Suddenly, those of us who had jumped into the sea, began to be pulled by the current with absolutely no warning. The boat which had anchored began to swirl round and round. The seven people who had jumped into the sea were being pulled in all sorts of direction and there was panic all around. Those who jumped in to save them also got pulled in, in spite of the fact they were good swimmers.

The water began to change color, became very choppy, and there was a section where the water level dropped, and it seemed like the rest of the ocean was flowing into it. Suddenly the level rose within seconds and the sand bank disappeared again as fast as it appeared. The engine of the boat was revving at full speed and yet the boat was not moving. With the help of other boats in the area, we managed to save the passengers from our boats and their boats. We began to head towards the coast. Again our boat twirled, drawn by the currents. It was scary.

Finally we reached the coast, only to realize that there was a panic on the shore, for our boat was the second last boat to come ashore. We were hurriedly pulled to the shore by seamen who were terrified and confused. Only then did we realize that something major was happening in the sea. The color of the sea had changed to red.

On return, I saw on BBC about the major Asia quake and the effect it has had and the lives it has claimed. I'm wondering if today's event had anything to do with the tidal wave that swept Asia. Our local radio station has just issued an alert for people by the ocean to be very careful and they have not yet reported any casualties.

Beasts of War

In my own revelation from 1986, I saw two beasts of war in the form of bears who were to “devour much flesh” as prophesied in Daniel 7:5 KJV. The Gulf War occurred in early 1990; the second war’s beginning point was the Twin Towers demolition on September 11, 2001. This second event, in turn, was the result of the “Attack on America” that occurred two months earlier on July 11. In that case, the heavenly battle was reflected in the earth two months later.

As I said earlier, the final victory over these dragon princes occurred a few days later on July 15, and 1,260 days later the result of this was seen on the earth with the tsunami.

With all of the revelation of timing that God has given me, I still do not know why one event would be seen on the earth after just two months, while a related event would be seen after 1,260 days. Even when we know that a Cursed Time cycle applies, we cannot be sure that the cycle will end after just one cycle of 414 days. There is always a level of uncertainty as to how God will judge any particular case.

Of course, we knew to watch September 11, 2001, because Bill Clinton had humbled himself three years earlier on the same date in 1998 (1 Kings 21:29 and 22:1). This had been confirmed on July 24, 2000, when the Concorde crashed in Paris and the peace negotiations had broken down at Camp David. We understood then that 414 days later (inclusively) was September 11, 2001.

So it was obvious to us that the two-month cycle in the old revelation that “July is like September” applied from July 11 to September 11, 2001. That was easy. But the 1,260-day cycle leading to the Christmas tsunami took me by surprise. It was only after the fact that I heard about Chad Taylor’s prophecy and realized what had happened.

The Tsunami of the Holy Spirit

For some years now, Ron Oja has spoken of “the tsunami of the Holy Spirit” that will come suddenly (Malachi 3:1) upon the world, like a flood that will overwhelm them with the love of God. Now we see this utter disaster come. How can this be a tsunami manifesting God’s love? Well, the disaster itself is not. But look at the results of the disaster. It takes evil to manifest the love of God. The love of God is manifested by the fact that “while we were set sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Anyone can die for a good man or for a friend. That simply manifests phileo love, brotherly love. But agape love is of a higher order. If God had no enemies, how could He manifest agape love to them? With no enemies, it would only be phileo. That is why it takes evil to manifest the love of God.

The tsunami gave people opportunity to show the love of God, even in the simple form of disaster relief. The world has never seen such a huge mobilization of help from all over the world. And I say that this is God at work behind the scenes, working through all men, Christians and non-Christians alike.

I believe that this rebuilding effort will largely be done by Christian people, and that many will see the love of God manifested in them and turn to Christ. Islamic people saw Christians doing what their fellow Muslims would never do. Muslims may help fellow Muslims with phileo love, but as a whole, they would never help Christians in similar need. Watch for a huge change in perception. It will be like a tsunami as it races across the ocean—barely visible until it hits the shore.

Another Time Cycle

Recall that November 30, 2000 marked the apex of the authority given to the house of David. This was 7½ years after the death of “Saul” on May 30, 1993. November 30, 2000 was the day that we declared the New Jerusalem to be the capital of the Kingdom. It was comparable to David setting up His capital in Jerusalem after conquering the city in 2 Samuel 5:7 and 9.

From that date, 153 days later was May 2, 2001, and the 1,335^th day after that was December 26, 2004—the date of the Christmas tsunami. The Hebrew phrase, beni h’elohim, “sons of God” has a numeric value of 153, representing the overcomers. They are given authority over the earth when the beasts’ authority expires.

The number 1,335 is the “blessed” number in Daniel 12:12,

The implication is that the people of God must undergo tribulation for 1,260 days/years, which also seems to reach a climax on the 1,290^th day, but that this difficult time fully ends on the 1,335^th day. Daniel says very little about these cycles, leaving it for a later time to see how they apply, but in our case the tsunami was a sign of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is to come upon the Islamic nations when the overcomers are given spiritual authority.

Some ask how a devastating tsunami can be a blessing when in fact it is a disaster. Looking at the event through fleshly eyes, it is certainly a disaster. But if we have spiritual eyes to see what God is doing in the earth, it is a blessing.

In fact, it is based on the principle that the judgments of God are remedial and corrective in nature, rather than destructive. While God’s judgments may be very destructive, in the end they are restorative. But few understand this at the present time, because most Christians today (unlike the early church) do not understand the restoration of all things.

Chad Taylor’s prophecy indicated this as well. In fact, he emphasized this blessing. The dragon’s fall caused the tsunami, but the fall of the dragon will result in a great blessing to Muslims everywhere, as they are set free from the bondage of Old Covenant religion.
