The telephone woke me this morning. It was Kevin Peters, from Houston, Texas, but he was calling from Palestine, Texas. God had wakened him this morning with a word, and he wanted to share it with me and ask what I thought of it. We discussed it, and I asked him to email it to me.
Here is what Kevin sent me:
10 degrees of adjustment, 10 degrees of alteration and correction. With this adjustment you shall receive the very fullness of my Spirit. It is the Spirit of judgment to receive that which I will now release. I am about to release angelic resources, I am about to consume the earth with my presence. I have waited long for this day. I have tarried long for this hour … now it has come .... now it is here.
10 degrees of adjustment to your heart is all that is needed to see the king of glory, the lord strong and mighty the Lord mighty in battle. Yes ...adjustment to your heart, adjustment so the gates can be lifted up and the King of glory can come in.
Open up your mouth and I will fill it, open up your heart and I will consume it with my glory.
10 degrees!
Acts chapter 3 vs 21
“Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.”
Significance of the number 10:
“The biblical meaning of number 10 is completed course of time or completeness in divine order. Today this number is used only when referring to any kind of ranking or when describing anything that is near to perfection. Number 10 is the symbol of matter in harmony. This number represents Creator and the creation.”
MY COMMENT:
I am giving you his full name, Kevin Peters, because he is connected to the story in Matthew 14:22-33, where Jesus walked on the water, and Peter went out to meet Him. The story is told again in an abridged way in John 6:16-21, where John leaves out the detail about Peter walking on the water. Nonetheless, this story is the fifth sign in the book of John (out of eight).
From 2000 to 2007 at each feast of Tabernacles, we observed how God was again fulfilling the eight signs in the book of John. The fifth sign (Peter walking on the water to meet Jesus) was observed at Tabernacles of 2004. Our Tabernacles conference that year was hosted by Kevin Peters at the Holiday Inn at the Medical Center in Houston.
In other words, Kevin filled the role of Peter at that time, and it had to do with the coming of Christ to the disciples in the midst of the storm of tribulation. Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 that when Christ comes, we will “meet the Lord in the air.” The story of Peter has him meeting the Lord in the Sea of Galilee as he walked on water.
So today Kevin got a word from God about a final “ten degrees of alteration and correction,” which are needed before “the King of Glory can come in.” This is a reference to Psalm 24:7 and 9, which is a prophetic picture of the coming of Christ. The main focus of the word given to Peter appears to reveal the glory of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is soon to hit the earth with full force. “With this adjustment you shall receive the very fullness of my Spirit.”
We must also view this word in light of the story of Hezekiah, where God adjusted the time by ten degrees on the sundial of Ahaz (2 Kings 20:11KJV). God turned the clock back ten degrees (or “steps” on the sundial) in order to fulfill the year of Jubilee. I have taught about this many times in other studies.
I am not sure at this point what this means or how to apply it. If today’s date is somehow connected to 2008 (ten years ago), I don’t know what it means, because my records do not show any particular event occurring on July 21, 2008. That general time period, however, was when I was preparing to make a 3-week trip to South Africa in September. While I was there, we saw the near collapse of the banking system, when Lehman Brothers collapsed, and the big bailout occurred two weeks later.
Since July is like September, we might see more clarification in September.
The timing of the word may also be significant, coming on 21st day of the 7th month. This was the day (on the Hebrew calendar) that Haggai received his revelation in Haggai 2:1, which was about the glory coming to the temple. Haggai 2:3 says,
3 Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison?”
God tells the prophet to be encouraged and not to look at their work (rebuilding the temple) as a waste of time. That second temple, built after their Babylonian captivity, was only a type and shadow of the greater Temple that God has been constructing out of living stones. See Ephesians 2:20-22 and 1 Peter 2:5.
The temple in Haggai’s day was never glorified by the presence of God, because God had already pronounced Ichabod on it (Jeremiah 7:12, 13, 14). The temple in Jerusalem was forsaken “as Shiloh” when God’s glory and presence left that place (1 Samuel 4:21, 22). When God’s presence leaves, He never returns to the same place but starts a new project. In this case, the temple site in the earthly Jerusalem was forsaken on account of priestly corruption (as with Eli’s sons in 1 Samuel 3:13). God is now building a better temple using better building materials.
That was why the second temple was never glorified, even though the people had built it according to divine instructions. If the Jews build a third temple on the old site in the future, the presence of God will not glorify that temple either. He intends to glory His people, and that is why we foresee a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
This outpouring is patterned after the glorification of Solomon’s temple, which occurred on the eighth day of Tabernacles (7/22). It will be a greater outpouring than was seen later on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:1, 2, because it will be a Tabernacles event, not a Pentecostal event.
In Haggai’s day, I believe he received this word upon inquiring if God intended to glorify that temple the following day (7/22), as the people had seen in the days of Solomon. God did not answer the question directly, but told him not to be discouraged. In fact, God reminded him in Haggai 2:5 that “My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!” In other words, they were to focus on the fact that His presence was IN THEM, which means that God was already constructing His New Covenant temple, using them as living stones.
God also told them in Haggai 2:6-9,
6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, “Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. 7 And I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations; and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord of hosts. 8 “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,” declares the Lord of hosts. 9 The Latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,” says the Lord of hosts, “and in this place I shall give peace,” declares the Lord of hosts.
We can already feel the shaking taking place. Hebrews 12:26, 27, 28 compares this to the first great shaking, when God descended as fire on the Mount to give the law on the day that was later called Pentecost.
26 And His voice shook the earth then [Exodus 19:18], but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heaven.” 27 And this expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, in order that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude…
There were two “shakings” in Scripture. The first was at Pentecost in the time of Moses, and the second was prophesied as a future event in Haggai 2:6 and again in Hebrews 12:26. The second shaking was revealed on the 7th day of the feast of Tabernacles but was in reference to the eighth day (7/22).
So in the broad view, the Holy Spirit event in Acts 2 fulfilled Exodus 19:18 (because the people under Moses were too fearful to receive His glory at that time). The second and greater shaking is coming in our time. We had a preview of this shaking in September 2008, but it appears that the real shaking is about to begin.
As for timing, “10 degrees” is hardly a clear statement, other than connecting 2018 with 2008. Yet it should cause us to be watchful for events in September 2018 as a parallel to the bank crisis in 2008. This is linked directly to the great “shaking” of heaven and earth, the sea and dry land. In other words, it will be a greater event than seen at Mount Sinai. It will shake the entire earth—not just an entire mountain.
The stated reason in Haggai is to “fill this house with glory.” But it involves more than that. Hebrews tells us that the Kingdom is coming and that anything that runs contrary to His Kingdom will collapse. In the midst of this, Haggai 2:8 lays claim to all the silver and gold. This can refer to literal silver and gold in a transfer of wealth, but more importantly, it refers to nations coming into the treasury of the Lord.
Recall from Daniel 2:38 that the prophet tells King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, “You are the head of gold.” He goes on to identify the next kingdom (Media and Persia) as the arms of silver. The Grecian empire was likened to bronze, and Rome was iron.
These are the metals seen in the battle of Jericho, where it was commanded in Joshua 6:19,
19 But all the silver and gold and articles of bronze and iron are holy to the Lord; they shall go into the treasury of the Lord.
Prophetically speaking, God intends to bring all nations under the feet of Christ. God values all nations, even though they oppose His Kingdom. The battle of Jericho, which we have been fighting in spiritual warfare since 1993 (really, since the days of Joshua), is designed to shake the nations, overthrow their “city,” and bring all of the nations “into the treasury of the Lord.”
That is what is happening now. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is soon coming, and it appears that it will coincide with the shaking of the nations. I believe that the Lord has given to Kevin a prophetic word that is parallel to that which was given to Haggai. Each of these revelations were given on 7/21 in anticipation of 7/22, even though the two dates come on different calendars.
The shaking will cause great fear in the world, because they do not know that God is doing this in order to restore all nations to His treasury. The shaking has a good purpose in the end. It is our job to be God’s voice of Hope to those who are afraid as their Babylonian world comes crashing down. Already there is panic in the world, but there is rejoicing in God’s Temple.
So buckle your seat belts. But remember that this great shaking is not designed to destabilize you. You are not among those who “can be shaken.” You are Kingdom people, members of a “Kingdom which cannot be shaken.” But because we all have some last-minute adjustments that must be made, and because we all still hang on to a few things that can be shaken, there is still a 10-degree adjustment that must be made in our lives and in the world at large.
Let us endure to the end, then, and face the future with great hope and without fear.
