Our watch dates for July are July 1, 9, 10, 15, 21, and 22.
The 1st, 15th, and 22nd of July are mostly because it is our seventh month, which is often a prophetic type of the Hebrew seventh month. Feast of Trumpets is 7/1, Day of Atonement is 7/10, Feast of Tabernacles is 7/15 to 7/22.
In addition to this, the 9th and 15th of July is the third anniversary of events from 2010. We were led to cast barley meal into the headwaters of the Mississippi River on July 9, 2010 as the solution to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This followed the pattern of the 8th sign of Elisha (2 Kings 4:38-41).
In that story, someone had shredded poisonous gourds into the pot of stew for the sons of the prophets. They said in 2 Kings 4:40, “there is death in the pot.” The word “pot” is from the Hebrew word ciyr, “pot, basin, or caldron.” In 2010 we took note that the Gulf of Mexico is also called the Gulf Basin.
The BP oil spill brought death to the Gulf Basin. As this was the 8th sign of Elisha, we were led to do what Elisha did—add (barley) meal to the stew. It does not specifically say “barley” meal, but this came during a time of famine, when only barley has a chance of growing and ripening.
So we cast barley meal into the headwaters of the Mississippi River at 2:16 p.m. Over 30 people came along from our local group to witness this. We understood that the River flowed to the Gulf Basin and would somehow provide the solution. That solution came 144 hours and 9 minutes later at 2:25 p.m. when the oil spill was capped on July 15.
For this reason, both July 9 and July 15 are watch dates. July 9 has the added feature of being the first day of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month that begins at sundown July 8 this year. July 15 has the added feature of being a type of the first day of the feast of Tabernacles.
For the past three years we have been watching for the 9th sign of Elisha to occur. It is the sign of the multiplication of the barley loaves (bread) seen in 2 Kings 4:42-44. Its parallel passage is in John 6:1-14, where Jesus multiplied the barley to feed the 5,000 men, not including women and children. Barley is specifically mentioned in John 6:9. For prophetic reasons, Jesus never multiplied wheat, but only barley.
Just before doing this, in John 6:5 Jesus asked a test question for Philip to answer: “Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?” Philip’s answer is in John 6:7,
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii [dinars] worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.”
In other words, the dinars were insufficient, and therefore the barley bread had to be multiplied. Is it just a coincidence that dinars are mentioned in this passage about Jesus multiplying the bread? The connection between John 6 and 2 Kings 4 shows us that the 9th sign of Elisha is the multiplication (revaluation) of the Iraqi dinar. Hence, we have watched for this sign to unfold for the past three years.
When it does, we believe that it will feed the multitude in preparation for the 10th sign, which is about the healing of the nations. Naaman the Syrian was healed of leprosy. Leprosy is a biblical symbol of mortality (death), and it takes two doves to cleanse lepers, according to Leviticus 14:4-7.
The 9th sign is the start of the second group of eight. Recall that Elijah performed eight miraculous signs, but Elisha, his successor, received the double portion of his anointing and performed sixteen signs. So far we have completed the first eight of these, but we are awaiting the start of the DOUBLE PORTION anointing and ministry, by which we can be sent to the nations for their healing.
It appears that Syria itself is to be the prime candidate for healing, since that is where Naaman lived. In fact, Naaman was “the captain of the army of the king of Aram” (Syria). He was the head of Syria’s armed forces. Naaman, then, represented Syria’s army itself. Today we see Syria’s army under attack. They are also leprous in their heart and actions. Syria is being killed slowly by spiritual leprosy. Isaiah 17:1 indicates that Damascus “will become a fallen ruin,” and while no time frame is given, it is notable that this prophecy has yet to be fulfilled. Perhaps it will occur shortly. If it does, then Syria will be in great need of spiritual and physical healing.
That will be the job of those overcomers who are called to minister to Syria.
Today we find America bogged down in a series of Mideast wars that were launched as a result of the Twin Towers demolition on September 11, 2001. This has been reported in many speeches by General Wesley Clark, at least since 2005. Here is a short excerpt:
This shows conclusively that virtually all of the unrest in the Mideast today can be traced to 9-11 and the decisions that were made in its aftermath. If you have not read my booklet, The 1986 Vision of the Two Gulf Wars, you simply must read it to get the background necessary to understand what is going on today. I was shown by vision and by an angelic visitation on March 26, 1986 that there would be two wars in the Mideast. The first was the Gulf War in 1990-1991. The second began in September 11, 2001, when the word was passed down in the Pentagon that we were going to overthrow Saddam Hussein of Iraq, even though he had nothing to do with the attack on the Twin Towers.
General Wesley Clark says he did not want the other general to show him the classified document telling of seven countries that were to be overthrown in five years. So when he lists them as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran—leaving out Egypt—I suspect that he simply forgot. He probably put Somalia in place of Egypt, since Somalia was already overthrown twenty years ago.
Since everything takes longer than planned, this has also taken more than five years. Iraq alone took from 2003 to 2010 before America was ready to focus on their next targets—Egypt and Libya. In January 2011 the so-called “Arab Spring” movement began, which was sponsored by the CIA. Egypt’s President and virtual Dictator Hosni Mubarak, who had been sponsored by the CIA for many years was overthrown.
On March 18, 2011 the bombing of Libya began, and once again the dictator refused to capitulate in a timely manner. Colonel Gaddafi too was trained by the US military at a secret base in Alabama before going back to Libya to overthrow the government. In the same manner, of course, Saddam Hussein had been backed by the CIA until the Gulf War. He was tricked into attacking Kuwait, so that America had an excuse to overthrow him.
About the same time that Mubarak was being overthrown in Egypt, another incident was reported, which I reproduced in my weblog for March 24, 2011, “A Strange Dinar Story.” You may read the whole account here:

This revelation from “Abriel” said that the Iraqi dinar would revalue at three eighteen, but not until two more wars. Here is the quotation:
What you see going on in Egypt is going to happen in two more middle eastern countries and the US will go into another war." and then he says this, "When it does happen it will RV at 3.18, when it does RV, everything is going to change".
So after the Egyptian uprising in January 2011, the man said, we would see two more countries fall. Libya was obviously the first to fall later in the same year. Now we are fighting Syria. So far America’s covert war against Syria has not gone so well, because Russia has backed the Syrian government. And so measures are now being taken to engage in open war against Syria’s President Assad.
On June 4, 2013 US Marines landed in Jordan to stage war games near the Syrian border.
This was an obvious preparation for an invasion of Syria, or at least a staging ground for continuing covert operations. Once the marines were in place, of course, the Jordanian government is expected to have them to stay longer. (What a surprise!) They especially want the F-16’s to remain in Jordan.
The point is that “Abriel” spoke of two countries that were to be overthrown. We know the first was Libya. We have presumed the second to be Syria. But now Egypt’s President Morsi has been overthrown. Is it possible that because Egypt’s first revolution in 2011 was not counted, that perhaps it is the second country we are looking for?
The word that “the US will go into another war” may be Syria, but the question is whether the Syrian war results in the second country being overthrown—or if Egypt is the second country, followed by the Syrian war.
It is too soon to tell right now, but with Iraq coming out of Chapter VII on June 27, and wanting to revalue its currency soon, this may indicate that Egypt has come out of nowhere to become that second country. This situation is still fluid, so it bears watching.
Also, I need to say one more thing about the three-year interim between the 8th and 9th signs of Elisha.
The 9th sign in 2 Kings 4:42-44 involves a man “from Baal-shalisha,” who brought the first-fruits of barley to the prophet. Baal-shalisha means “thrice-great lord,” which suggest the number three.

Why is the man’s hometown given? Is it prophetically significant? If so, how? It may suggest a three-year cycle.
To support this, we should also keep in mind that the climax of Elijah’s ministry was a three-year drought in Israel (1 Kings 18:1), before passing the double-portion mantle to Elisha. In a sense, the 8th sign is still the equivalent of Elijah, while the 9th sign begins that double portion that goes beyond Elijah.
Must we endure a three-year drought from 2010-2013 before the 9th sign is seen?
If so, July 9-15, 2013 should end this drought.
The problem is that James 5:17 gives the full time period as 3½ years. I suggest that Elijah spent the first six months at the brook Cherith (1 Kings 17:3-5), where he was fed by the Arabs (Heb., oreb or arab, “ravens”). Then when the brook dried up, he went to the Phoenician town of Zarephath (1 Kings 17:9), where he stayed with the widow and her son for the next three years.
It was probably at the end of that three-year period that God told Elijah to return to Israel and to confront King Ahab.
The point is that 3½ years from the 8th sign would bring us to February 9-15, 2014. No doubt this will prove to be a watch date when we get there. However, the fact that 1 Kings 18:1 says “in the third year,” and 2 Kings 4:42 speaks of a man from the town of “thrice-great lord,” seems to point to the number three as also significant.
Time will tell, of course. It is often difficult to know how to apply prophetic details, and I do not want to develop eye-strain trying to read something that is hidden or not there at all. Sometimes we just have to let things happen before the details are proven to have significant application to our current situation.
Finally, keep in mind also that the revaluation of the dinar is fulfilling another pattern seen in Daniel 5. The revaluation of the currency is like the diversion of the Euphrates River just before the overthrow of Babylon. The river “current” of Babylon is the life-blood of Babylon, and it correlates prophetically with the “currency.” Even as the river was what made Babylon fruitful (Euphrates means “fruitful”), so also the currencies of modern Mystery Babylon make her fruitful today.
When the kings of the east diverted the current, they took Babylon and killed King Belshazzar (Daniel 5:30, 31). That pattern appears to be repeating today in two ways. First, on a regional scale, it is playing out in Iraq, where Maliki is the “king.” (The Hebrew word melek means “king.”) So watch Maliki for signs of his departure, for any such signs could also be a sign of the revaluation that precedes his exit from politics.
