More on the oil spill

The news seems to be getting worse and worse in regard to this oil spill in the Gulf. Unless a person is actually on-site, it is hard to grasp the scope of this disaster. But as time passes, it appears that this could soon be too big to stop. It has the serious potential of being unstoppable. In that this is one of the largest oil and gas deposits ever found, it appears that we may finally be seeing the mother of all environmental disasters.

A confidential government report on the unfolding spill disaster in the Gulf makes clear the Coast Guard now fears the well could become an unchecked gusher shooting millions of gallons of oil per day into the Gulf. 

"The following is not public," reads the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Emergency Response document dated April 28. "Two additional release points were found today in the tangled riser. If the riser pipe deteriorates further, the flow could become unchecked resulting in a release volume an order of magnitude higher than previously thought..."

In scientific circles, an order of magnitude means something is 10 times larger. In this case, an order of magnitude higher would mean the volume of oil coming from the well could be 10 times higher than the 5,000 barrels a day coming out now. That would mean 50,000 barrels a day, or 2.1 million gallons a day. It appears the new leaks mentioned in the Wednesday release are the leaks reported to the public late Wednesday night....

"Typically, a very good well in the Gulf can produce 30,000 barrels a day, but that's under control. I have no idea what an uncontrolled release could be," said Stephen Sears, chairman of the petroleum engineering department at Louisiana State University.  

On Thursday, federal officials said they were preparing for the worst-case scenario but didn't elaborate.

On March 26, 1986, I had a vision of two Gulf Wars that were yet to come. On August 2, 1988 we engaged in spiritual warfare to delay its coming, since we did not have the authority to prevent it altogether. This delayed the start of the war for exactly two years.

Gulf War I began with Iraq's invasion of Kuwait on August 2, 1990. But this war was preceded by the Exxon Valdez oil spill on March 24, 1989.

Gulf War II technically began on Sept. 11, 2001 with the demolition of the Twin Towers in NYC. Its purpose, according to the word of the angel, was the destruction of Jerusalem. When Ariel Sharon was incapacitated by a stroke in January of 2006, I took this as as a sign of the fate of Jerusalem itself, since Isaiah 29:1 identifies Jerusalem as "Ariel."

Sharon was officially declared "incapacitated" on April 11, 2006, and 3 x 490 days later was April 20, 2010, when the Gulf oil spill began. Since this was also 1290 days from the Seventh Vial being poured out on Babylon (Oct. 7, 2006), I posted April 19/20 as a Watch Date.

It is just now becoming clear that the oil spill is much more than just an oil spill. It is reaching apocalyptic proportions and threatens to destroy all marine life in the entire Gulf and beyond.

But yet, it is likely that this is only a sign of a new war in the Middle East, much like the Exxon Valdez was a sign of war a year before the invasion of Kuwait. Because Jerusalem and Babylon are in the mix as well, it appears that we are beginning the countdown toward the final conflagration which Isaiah called "the controversy of Zion" (Isaiah 34:8). It is the controversy caused by Edom's claim over Palestine (34:5, 6). In this controversy, God is clearly coming against Edom.

⁵ For My sword is satiated in heaven; behold, it shall descend for judgment upon Edom, and upon the people whom I have devoted to destruction. ⁶ . . . for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. . . ⁸ For the Lord has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the controversy of Zion. ⁹ And its streams shall be turned into pitch, and its loose earth into brimstone, and its land shall become burning pitch. ¹⁰ It shall not be quenched night or day; its smoke shall go up forever; from generation to generation it shall be desolate.

This is a word picture of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, but take note that it seems also to describe the oil spill in the Gulf. "Pitch" is oil tar, and they are trying to burn off the oil slick in the Gulf. This is further evidence that this oil spill is a sign of the destruction of Jerusalem and perhaps all of Palestine.

Isaiah lacked terminology to describe nuclear explosions and the resultant fall-out. But this passage is a further statement on the destruction revealed in Isaiah 29:5, 6, which accurately describes a nuclear blast.

By the way, this prophecy is directed at "Ariel, the city where David once camped." So when the text says "you," it is referring to Jerusalem. God is picturing His army as surrounding and laying siege to Jerusalem (29:3). God's "enemies" are those who have laid claim to Jerusalem and are its current inhabitants.

Of course, there is a "controversy" over who has the divine claim to the land, but Isaiah 34 answers this question clearly. Edom is the "enemy," and God is ruling against Edom. Malachi 1:1-4 makes it clear that Edom would "return" to the land in the latter days, and that God would allow them to "build up the ruins" (Mal. 1:4), but that in the end, God would tear it down.

This is a prophecy of Zionism, in that Edom was eventually conquered and absorbed into Jewry. The Wikipedia says,

Judas Macabaeus conquered their territory for a time in around 163 BC. They were again subdued by John Hyrcanus (c. 125 BC), who forced them to observe Jewish rites and laws. They were then incorporated with the Jewish nation.

So I conclude that it is likely that this present oil disaster, which could kill much of the life in the Gulf of Mexico, could well be a sign of what is about to happen in Palestine itself. God is about to resolve "the controversy of Zion" and bring judgment to Edom.

I suggest you avoid traveling to that area, and if you already live there, please leave while you can. Remember that this is a general judgment. Individuals can avoid it by simply believing and responding to the warnings of Scripture.
