Only Right-Wing Zionists Left in Israel

The Israelis held elections last Tuesday. According to Ha'aretz, the outcome shows that the "left-wing" parties are essentially dead.

The Israeli left died in 2000. Since then its corpse has been lying around unburied until finally its death certificate was issued, signed, sealed and delivered on Tuesday. The hangman of 2000 was also the gravedigger of 2009: Defense Minister Ehud Barak. The man who succeeded in spreading the lie about there being no partner has reaped the fruit of his deeds in this election. The funeral was held two days ago. 

The Israeli left is dead. . . .

After many long years when hardly any protest came from the left, and the city square, the same square that raged after Sabra and Chatila [massacres at refugee camps in Lebanon], was silent, this lack of protest has been reflected at the ballot box as well. Lebanon, Gaza, the killed children, cluster bombs, white phosphorus and all the atrocities of occupation - none of this drove the indifferent, cowardly left onto the street. . .

Does Zionism mean settlement in the territories? Occupation? The legitimization of every act of violence and injustice? The left stammered. Any statement critical of Zionism, even the Zionism of the occupation, was considered a taboo that the left did not dare break. The right grabbed a monopoly on Zionism, leaving the left with its self-righteousness. 

A Jewish and democratic state? The Zionist left said yes automatically, fudging the difference between the two and not daring to give either priority. Legitimization for every war? The Zionist left stammered again - yes to the beginning and no to the continuation, or something like that. Solving the refugee problem and the right of return? Acknowledgment of the wrongdoing of 1948? Unmentionable. This left has now, rightly, reached the end of its road.

COMMENT: Most Americans hear only the right-wing war parties and so they assume that their views define Zionism for all Jews. This is certainly not the case. These radicals have much Jewish blood on their hands, for they have often resorted to murdering their own people who have opposed their militant Zionism. Former Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin, who led the most radical Jewish terrorist gang during the 1940's (the Irgun), revealed that it was the Jewish Agency itself that bombed and sank the Patria, carrying 276 Jewish refugees, killing them all in order to blame others and thereby create sympathy for the Zionist cause. This mass murder was done on Nov. 25, 1940. [See The Revolt: Story of the Irgun, pages 35, 36.]

What is most ironic is the fact that the Jewish Agency is the father of the left-wing Labor Party--not the right-wing Likud, which Menachem Begin helped establish years later. Begin makes the point that even his terrorist organization, the Irgun, had enough scruples to refrain from killing fellow Jews.

Even so, in the early 1980's, the left was reborn after the Israelis attacked and occupied Lebanon the first time. This was the "Peace Party," and to their credit these people strongly denounced the war-like policies of their own government. The movement became strong enough so that Prime Minister Rabin was able to make peace with the Palestinians in 1993. Unfortunately, the right-wing was also ruthless enough to have him assassinated in 1995.

Then in the year 2000, Prime Minister Barak met with PLO Chairman Arafat at Camp David, where President Clinton tried to get them to make a deal. Things went well until Clinton pushed too hard for them to deal with the issue of the control of Jerusalem. Then the peace process fell apart on July 25, 2000.

On the same day, if you recall, the Concorde crashed in Paris. Concord means "harmony, peace." We heard the Father say, "Peace has been taken from the earth." We came to understand that we would see the fulfillment of this 414 days later on Sept. 11, 2001.

The Ha'aretz article above refers to the year 2000 as the time when the "left" died under Prime Minister Barak. It is a reference to the failed peace process at Camp David. The right-wing radicals among them have won the day.

It appears to me that the Israeli state is ripening for the time of divine judgment, as the Bible prophesies.
