The sheer magnitude of this week's tidal wave (elections) is now beginning to emerge. We had been shown last month, as you know, to watch November 8, and at first I did not connect this with the elections. I was thinking in terms of Noah's flood, but since Election Day was the 7th, it did not immediately occur to me that the date was directly connected to the elections. Only later did I realize that November 8 would be the day that they finished counting the votes.
The Republican Party lost control of both the House and the Senate, something that even the Democrats could hardly believe. President Bush is now talking in a very bi-partisan way, obviously knowing that his power has been severely curtailed by these losses. Meanwhile, the Democrats are also talking bi-partisan language, but this happens every time one of the parties takes power from the other. It is done in order to position themselves as the good guys, because they know that most of the people truly dislike the bickering and rancor of partisan politics. Yet once reality settles in, don't expect much bi-partisanship in practice. It never happens.
In attempting to share what I believe about the divine plan and the progress of the Kingdom of God, I see this as a relatively small beginning of a prophetic "flood" of Noah. We began to see this theme manifested in various signs since last February. This flood is not so much the election itself, but what the election will bring in the days ahead. The "flood" is only beginning now. There are other dates to watch in this regard.
Noah received a seven-day warning (Gen. 7:4) to go into the ark before the rains began. He began moving his gear and provisions into the ark on Chesvan 11 (Nov. 2, 2006). That was day one, marked by the Ted Haggard scandal in Colorado.
On the seventh day, Chesvan 17, Noah and his family finished bringing their provisions and all the animals into the ark, and God shut the door (Gen. 7:16). "On the very same day" (Gen. 7:13) the rain began. This corresponds to Nov. 8, 2006 in our present application, when the votes were counted, and the flood began to take them all away, including Donald Rumsfeld (Matt. 24:39).
But this is only the beginning of the "rain." The rain lasted 40 days (Gen. 7:17), and this suggests that we should watch the 40th day from November 8, which brings us to Sunday, December 17, 2006.
The next time cycle given in Scripture is in Gen. 7:24, "And the water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days." This brings us from December 17 to May 16, 2007 by a strict count of days. However, we also learn from Gen. 8:4 that the ark rested on Ararat on the 17th day of the 7th month, which brings us to May 5, 2007. So both May 5 and 16 should be watched next year.
The next date is given in Gen. 8:5,
"And the water decreased steadily unto the tenth month (Av); in the tenth month on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible."
The first of Av next year falls on July 16, 2007. We have often seen July 16 manifest as an important date, particularly since 2000 and 2001. So this date is of particular interest to us.
From there, we have another 40-day count (Gen. 8:6) to the day that Noah sent out the raven. This brings us to August 25, 2007, or Elul 11.
From here, it is unclear as to when Noah sent out the dove for the first time. It may have been on the same day that he sent the raven, but it is unclear from the biblical account. For this reason, it is of little help to know that the second and third doves were sent out a week apart, because we have no firm reference point. Yet I am quite confident that as we approach that time next year, the Lord will reveal even this watch date in order to fill in the blanks.
Genesis 8:13 then tells us that the water was dried up on the first day of the first month. This day later came to be celebrated as the Rosh Hashana, the Feast of Trumpets. Of course, by this time God had told Moses to make Abib the first month, instead of Tishri (Ex. 12:2). That is why Tishri is now the seventh month on the Hebrew calendar. But in Noah's day, Tishri was still the first month, and the first day of the first month was considered to be the beginning of creation. In 2007, Rosh Hoshana falls on September 13.
Even so, Noah and his family did not leave the ark until the 27th day of the second month (Gen. 8:14). This corresponds to November 8, 2007. It is interesting to me that Noah would remain in the ark for precisely 365 days. So this is the year of Noah's flood in a basic outline for the coming year.
Precisely how this will work out in actual events is only dimly seen at this time. It is apparent that the political elections may prove to be as disastrous as the flood was to those outside of the ark. But at the same time, these elections may prove to be the greatest blessing to those who believe that the Holy Spirit is about to be poured out into the earth.
November 8, 2006 has also turned out to be the beginning of the first 76-day period of cleansing, which will set the basic pattern and tone for the coming prophetic year. As I have written earlier, each prophetic year culminates at the Feast of Tabernacles and then begins a new season. Tabernacles ended in mid-October, and now the first of two 76-day periods have begun. This first cleansing period will end on January 23, 2007.
January 23 has been an important date many times since 1983 when I first began to monitor these events. But that is mostly because November 8 is often the beginning of the first 76-day period. (I have seen this cycle begin as early as October 21 and as late as November 12.) The last time January 23 was prophetically important was in 2002. Each of these dates has a lengthy story behind it, and there is no way that I can give you all the history at one time. But as these times and seasons emerge in importance over the next year, I will give you background as I am led, so that you will understand the signs of the times and be encouraged when the news seems bad.
For now, it is sufficient to know that November 8 was the first pattern-setter, setting the tone for the coming year. It was marked by the so-called "tidal wave" that struck the country as the votes were counted on that day. The rains have begun, and we are now spiritually inside the ark, divinely protected in Christ. While unbelievers in the world may cry in fear, there is no panic in heaven. We know that God is implementing His plan without deviation, and we are privileged to be part of the solution, rather than the problem.
