The territory now called The Ukraine was once part of the Khazar (or Chazar) Kingdom. This kingdom was largely unknown to the general population until Arthur Koestler wrote about its history in his 1976 book, The Thirteenth Tribe.

Koestler was a Jewish novelist and historian who was fascinated by his own ancestry as a Khazarian.

In The Thirteenth Tribe (1976) Koestler advanced a theory that Ashkenazi Jews are descended, not from the Israelites of antiquity, but from the Khazars, a Turkic people in the Caucasus that converted to Judaism in the 8th century and was later forced westwards. Koestler argued that a proof that Ashkenazi Jews have no biological connection to biblical Jews would remove the racial basis of European anti-semitism.

Although his view is called “a theory,” it is one that is supported by many Jewish historians and even The Jewish Encyclopedia itself. The first section of Volume IV begins:

CHAZARS: A people of Turkish origin whose life and history are interwoven with the very beginnings of the history of the Jews in Russia. The kingdom of the Chazars was firmly established in most of South Russia long before the foundation of the Russian monarchy by the Varangians (855)…

It was probably about that time [7^th century] that the chaghan of the Chazars and his grandees, together with a large number of his heathen people, embraced the Jewish religion.

The Jewish Encyclopedia goes on to quote from the letter (960 A.D.) written by King Joseph of the Chazars to Hasdai ibn Shaprut, the Jewish court doctor in Cordova, Spain. Hasdai had heard of a far-away Jewish kingdom and was naturally interested in researching this. So he sent letters to the king of the Khazars by courier. The first attempt failed, but his second attempt succeeded. He then received a response from King Joseph of the Khazars.

Joseph does not trace Chazar ancestry to Hebrew people but to Chazar, the seventh son of Togarma (or Togarmah). Koester writes on page 72,

“Joseph then proceeds to provide a genealogy of his people. Though a fierce Jewish nationalist, proud of wielding the ‘Sceptre of Judah,’ he cannot, and does not, claim for them Semitic descent; he traces their ancestry not to Shem, but to Noah’s third son, Japheth; or more precisely to Japheth’s grandson, Togarma, the ancestor of all Turkish tribes. ‘We have found in the family registers of our fathers,’ Joseph asserts boldly, ‘that Togarma had ten sons…’ We are the sons of Khazar, the seventh.”

Togarma was the brother of Ashkenaz and the son of Gomer, the son of Japheth. Gen. 10:2, 3 says,

² The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras. ³ The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.

Japheth’s oldest son, Gomer—not to be confused with Hosea’s wife by the same name (Hos. 1:3)—was the brother of Magog, Meshech, and Tubal. These are the names listed in Ezekiel 38:3 as the invaders of the land of Israel. Verse 6 adds Togarmah to the list.

Ezekiel’s list matches perfectly with King Joseph’s family record. His people had converted to Judaism a few centuries earlier—some say 640 and some say 740 A.D. The precise date of this conversion is disputed but the outcome is still the same.

The Chazars today are the Eastern European Jews known as Ashkenazi Jews—named after Togarma’s brother, Ashkenaz. (Spanish Jews are called Sephardim and are the remnants of the Jews dispersed by the Romans.)

It came to pass that the Ashkenazi converts to Judaism eventually became the dominant force in Judaism, constituting an estimated 80% of world Jewry today. The majority of Jews who immigrated to the Israeli state came from Eastern Europe—the Ashkenazi branch of Jewry. They are Jews by religion, but their ancestors were not from the land of Israel.

The Invasion of the Land of Israel

Ezekiel’s prophecy of the so-called “Russian” invasion of Israel was actually fulfilled when the Eastern European Jews conquered Palestine by immigration. Most Christians did not recognize what was happening, because they expected uniformed Russian troops to come on horseback. They were not expecting Jewish immigrants from Russia.

Ezekiel 38:5 tells us that more Jews would come from Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, and Put (Libya). Obviously, this was not a complete list of nations from which Jews would immigrate.

Modern Zionism is, in fact, the fulfillment of the invasion prophecies in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Ezekiel says nothing about their religion. He speaks only of their ancestry and their origins, connecting them to Japheth’s children.

Christian prophecy teachers developed their theories of prophecy during the 1800’s when the Khazar kingdom was almost unknown. For this reason, they made the mistake of misidentifying the invaders. They are just now beginning to learn about the history of the Khazars.

Historically speaking, the Khazar kingdom was established before Russia itself. When the Russians began moving south, taking sections of Khazaria, soon only Ukraine and Kazakhstan remained. The Russians eventually conquered Khazaria entirely and incorporated it into Russia.

Many of the Khazarian Jews fled to Poland, Germany, and other Eastern European countries. In becoming citizens of those countries, they were no longer known as Khazars. They were known only as Ashkenazi Jews. Among these were the Bauer family, known later as the Rothschilds.

Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon comments on the name Ashkenaz, saying,

“The modern Jews understand it to be Germany, and call that country by this Hebrew name, which is only to be attributed to their wonderful ignorance of geography.”

That same “wonderful ignorance” causes many Jews to think that Rome is Edom, when, in fact, Edom was absorbed into Jewry in 126 B.C., according to virtually all historians.

The 1903 edition of The Jewish Encyclopedia, Vol. 5, p. 41 (which I have in my library), says,

“Judas Maccabeus conquered their territory for a time (B.C. 163… They were again subdued by John Hyrcanus (c. 125 B.C.), by whom they were forced to observe Jewish rites and laws… They were then incorporated with the Jewish nation, and their country was called by the Greeks and Romans ‘Idumea’…

“From this time the Idumeans ceased to be a separate people, though the name ‘Idumea’ still existed [in] the time of Jerome.

“The name ‘Edom’ is used by the Talmudists for the Roman empire, and they applied to Rome every passage of the Bible referring to Edom or to Esau.”

The 1925 edition of The Jewish Encyclopedia, which is more often quoted by historians, states bluntly, “Edom is in modern Jewry.” Though historians know this, Christians seem to be unaware of it—or, if they know it, they do not perceive the prophetic significance of that historical fact.

The Khazars Overthrow Russia in 1917

The Rus are now called Russians. They came down from the north and conquered Khazaria over a period of centuries. Then in the mid-1800’s, a man with many names, Moses Mordecai Levy-Karl Heinrich Marx wrote a book called The Communist Manifesto. We know him today simply as Karl Marx, founder of Communism.

He was born in Prussia in 1818. His father, Hirschel Mordechai, was an Ashkenazi Jew from a long line of rabbis. He became a Freemason in 1813 and also pretended to become a Lutheran to better infiltrate Prussian society as an “enlightened liberal.”

One of Marx’s grandparents, Nanette Salomon Barent-Cohen, came from a wealthy Amsterdam family. Her cousin married Nathan Mayer Rothschild, who had been sent by his father from Hamburg to London in 1798. Their son was Lionel Nathan Rothschild, who broke societal barriers to become a Baron and was a Member of Parliament for the City of London.

The publication of The Communist Manifesto in 1848 launched the start of the Communist revolution in which the Jewish Khazars overthrew their old enemy, the Russians. In 1917 Russia was overthrown with financial aid from Jacob Schiff of Kuhn-Loeb bank and other Jewish bankers.

Russia was replaced by the Soviet Union, whose leaders were almost entirely made up of Jews. That is why the Lower East Side of New York City—the Jewish section—sent the first 256 commissars to rule Russia, including Rabbi Lev Bronstein, who took the name Leon Trotsky. All of this was fully investigated by Senator Overman and put into the Senate records as The Overman Report of 1919.

For the next 70 years, the Russians were ruled by Khazars many of whom had changed their names to appear to be Russian. A prime example is when Vladimir Ulyanov took the name Lenin. He was the first dictator of the Soviet Union. His father was a Mongol; his mother was a German Jew. It was necessary for them to pretend to persecute Jews in order to hide the Jewish nature of Communism. Such is the nature of propaganda.

The Collapse of the Soviet Union

After a 70-year captivity (1917-1987), the Soviet Union began to collapse and break apart. The Socialist republics became relatively independent, including The Ukraine. The leaders of the Ashkenazi Jews saw this as an opportunity to re-establish control of their old homeland in The Ukraine.

In recent decades, the Israeli government discussed the question of the settler movement on the hills in Palestinian territory. It was proposed that the settlers might be resettled in The Ukraine as an overflow territory—sort of a second Israel. It was feasible only because, traditionally, it had been the home of the Khazars.

This brings us to the present conflict, where Russia is now moving to overthrow the old Khazar stronghold. Putin has issued an arrest warrant for George Soros and has expelled the Rothschilds from Russia. He is waging an underground war against the controllers of this Babylonian system.

Ben Fulford has been quite vocal in his claim that the present Deep State is controlled by what he calls “the Khazarian Mafia.” Fulford, being Jewish himself, distinguishes between traditional Judaism and the Khazar-Zionist portion of World Jewry.

If being a Jew is a matter of race or genealogy, then one could more easily distinguish the two groups. However, if being a Jew is a matter of religion, then it is a question of denominationalism within Judaism itself. Jews have long debated how to define a Jew, but because virtually every race of people is represented in World Jewry, it is evident that the majority opinion sees a Jew in terms of religion. Secular Jews are recognized as “cultural Jews.”

The point is that The Ukraine in recent years has become the Deep State’s center for money laundering, banking, child trafficking, and many other forms of corruption. It seems clear that the Khazars have been attempting to re-reestablish themselves in The Ukraine.

The attempt to take Kazakhstan in January 2022 (which failed because of Russian intervention) was actually an attempt to enlarge the Deep State’s territory to the Khazar Kingdom’s original southeastern border. The attempted coup in Kazakhstan should be viewed as a precursor to the present war in The Ukraine. We must also know about the long historical conflict between Russia and Khazaria. Putin knows this history well.

As a member of the Russian Orthodox Church, Putin also has another motive. Kiev is the birthplace of the Russian Orthodox Church dating from 988 A.D., when Vladimir, the Grand Prince of Kiev, was converted. Hence, Kiev has great religious significance to Putin, who considers himself the Protector of the Faith.

In 2014, the US State Department successfully orchestrated the Maidan revolt in Kiev and essentially captured the country for its own use. Hunter Biden was given a position on the board of Burisma, the gas company, so that he could receive $83,333 a month in an elaborate pay-off scheme. This was when the real corruption started.

The US government then pushed to bring The Ukraine into NATO. Then, a few months ago, they started talking about putting nuclear weapons into The Ukraine—all pointed against Russia.

That threat made it inevitable that Russia would react in the same manner that the US reacted in the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. President Kennedy would not allow Soviet missiles to be placed 90 miles offshore from Florida. Neither will President Putin allow NATO missiles to be placed in The Ukraine on the Russian border.

From the standpoint of national security, no one wants nuclear missiles on their borders. America has had its Monroe Doctrine since the early 1800’s; Russia has its own version of the Monroe Doctrine, insisting on having buffer states to allow sufficient warning in case missiles are launched against Russia.

Our main interest, of course, is how to view it from a biblical and prophetic standpoint. With Ezekiel 38 and 39 fulfilled a century ago, we are now seeing the end of the Gog-Magog war. Most Christian prophecy teachers, being ignorant of the Khazar factor, are still looking for a future Russian invasion of Israel.

Hence, the prophecy teachers, except for Johnny Enlow, find it impossible to say anything nice about Russia itself or to recognize Putin’s role in the divine plan. The anti-Russian bias skews their thinking. But there has also been a lot of prophecy about Russia saving the world. From who? From the Deep State, of course.

It is interesting that the Israeli state refused to condemn Russia’s invasion of The Ukraine.

Of course, the US government sees this as a betrayal. Ben Fulford sees this as evidence that the nation of Israel itself has been liberated from “the Khazarian Mafia.” I think more evidence needs to be presented before we can settle fully on such a conclusion.

At any rate, the UN resolution condemning Russia had no chance of passing, because Russia is a member of the Security Council and immediately vetoed it.

History of the Prince of Rosh

Ezekiel 38:2 says,

² Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.

Gog is said to be the name of “the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal” who rules “the land of Magog.” Both Gog and Rosh do not appear in Gen. 10:2, 3. Strong’s Concordance says that the meaning of Gog is uncertain; Gesenius’ Lexicon says “mountain.”

The word is spelled with two gimels linked by a vav. A gimel is a Hebrew letter that literally refers to a camel, signifying something being raised up (as in a rider). This can mean a mountain, or a prideful person, or simply a great man. The vav is a nail, a connector, and acts as the word “and.” Hence, it can mean “great and great,” or “very great.”

Other than Gog, an Israelite in 1 Chron. 5:4, the name is used exclusively by Ezekiel of some northern nation.

Rosh means “head,” and it can refer to one’s literal head, a head of a tribe or country, or a poppy plant, which has a prominent “head.” The name Russia does not derive from rosh but from the tribe called Rus. The name means “dew,” which has no linguistic connection to rosh, “head.”

Nonetheless, there seems to be a prophetic connection. When we overthrew the Prince of Rosh, the effects were seen in Russia and the other republics of the Soviet Union. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, Paul says. Instead, we engage in spiritual warfare to set people free from the demonic princes that rule from the heavens over nations.

In 1986, as a result of spiritual warfare, it was revealed to us that the Prince of Rosh was the demonic prince that ruled Russia. (All the nations are currently ruled by some demonic entity until the Kingdom of God is established.) We engaged the Prince of Rosh on April 26, 1986 and overthrew him.

The sign of this overthrow was seen when the nuclear reactor at Chernobyl melted down (near the Russia-Ukraine border). For this reason, we understood that Gog had another name: Wormwood, which is the meaning of Chernobyl.

From a spiritual view, this caused the overthrow of the Soviet Union, which began the following year in Nov. 1987 when President Gorbachev gave his speech at the 70^th anniversary of the “Russian” Revolution.

That speech marked the start of the rapid implosion of the Soviet Union over the next few years, changing the course of world history. This was traumatic for all who lived there, but ultimately it broke the power of the Khazars over the Russians after a 70-year captivity to Communism.

Rosh Moves to America

Wars often have unintended consequences. Our battle in 1986 was conducted while the church was still ruling as Saul. (Saul did not “die” until 1993.) In those days we were acting as the “David” company (overcomers) that was being persecuted by Saul.

We soon learned that Gog, or Wormwood, had simply moved to America. Hence, while Communism was dying in Russia, Communism was beginning to flourish in America. Of course, it did not go by the label, Communism. It was just a slightly different form of government dictatorship, which eroded the freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution.

This erosion of freedom spiked when “Poppy” Bush became president (1989-1993). In Hebrew, rosh is a poppy plant. Hence, America had a poppy plant in the White House, which reflected some very shady dealings with drug traffickers. One can read more of this in Russell S. Bowen’s book, The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed.

The spirit of Wormwood is now coming fully into the forefront of the battle for the soul of America. Just as Soviet Communism falsified history, persecuted Christianity, and censored the news in order to suppress all opinions not approved by the government, so also do we see this today in the American manifestation of Wormwood.

The censorship in America has now almost equaled that which was practiced in the Soviet Union. Yet the influence of this spirit has peaked and is now so unpopular that they have to rig voting machines just to stay in power.
